Browser extension

The TailorFit browser extension adds a small widget to job board pages so you can track applications without leaving the listing. It works on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby. Available on Starter and Pro plans.

Installing the extension

The extension is distributed as a sideloaded Chrome extension while it is in early access. Download the extension package from your TailorFit account settings, then follow these steps:

  1. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
  2. Enable Developer mode using the toggle in the top right
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder you downloaded
  4. The TailorFit icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar
Once the extension is available in the Chrome Web Store, installation will be a single click. Sideloaded installs require re-enabling after a Chrome update. We will announce the Web Store release to all users.

Connecting your account

After installing, click the TailorFit widget on any supported job board page. You will see a "Connect TailorFit" prompt. Click it and a tab will open at app.tailorfit.io to authorize the connection. Once authorized, close that tab and return to the job listing.

Tracking a job

When you land on a job listing on a supported site, the green TailorFit pill appears in the corner of the page. Click it to expand the widget. It will detect the company and role automatically.

If the detection looks right, choose a stage and click Track application. The job is added to your pipeline instantly. If the details need adjusting, click Edit details before saving.

Jobs you have already tracked

When you visit a listing you have already tracked, the pill changes to ✓ Tracked and the widget shows the company, role, and current stage. You can click View in app to go straight to that application.

Fit analysis (Pro)

On a Pro plan, the widget shows a Check Fit button below the tracking section. This runs a fit analysis against your profile for this specific role, costs 1 credit, and returns a match rating with a brief breakdown of strengths and gaps.
