Terms of Service

1. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

You may not share account credentials, create accounts on behalf of others without their consent, or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits.

2. The Service

TailorFit provides AI-assisted tools for job seekers, including:

• Professional profile building from resume imports
• AI resume tailoring for specific job descriptions
• Job description analysis
• Cover letter generation
• Interview preparation tools
• Application tracking

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible.

We offer a free tier with limited credits and paid tiers with expanded capabilities. Features and limits for each tier are described at tailorfit.io/pricing.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful
• Use AI-generated content to misrepresent your qualifications in a way that would constitute fraud
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Abuse the credit system (e.g., creating multiple free accounts to circumvent limits)
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to generate content for anyone other than yourself without explicit consent
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorisation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Billing and credits

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are shown at checkout in USD, exclusive of any applicable taxes.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings inside the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time in a cancelled period.

Credits

Credits are consumed when you use AI features (tailoring, analysis, interview prep). Monthly subscription credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle; unused credits from a previous cycle do not roll over except as stated in the plan description at the time of purchase.

Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire. Credits are non-refundable once consumed.

Refunds

We offer refunds at our discretion within 7 days of a charge if you haven't consumed the credits or used the subscription features. Contact support@tailorfit.io with your account email and reason.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect on your next renewal date after the notice period.

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses large language models (primarily Anthropic's Claude) to generate resume versions, summaries, cover letters, and interview questions.

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before use. AI models can make mistakes: they may hallucinate facts, misstate qualifications, or produce output that doesn't accurately represent you. Never submit AI-generated content to an employer without reading it carefully.

Content generated based on your inputs is owned by you. We do not claim ownership over your tailored resumes or generated documents.

We do not use your profile data or generated content to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details on AI data handling.

6. Intellectual property

Your content: You retain all rights to the data you provide — your resume, work history, and personal information. You grant us a limited licence to process this data to provide the Service.

Our content: The TailorFit platform, branding, code, and design are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

TailorFit is a job search tool. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview invitations, or any particular career result from using the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TAILORFIT OR ITS OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections 5–9 and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute not resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you can cancel your account before they take effect.
